Fitting the forestay bridle chainplate
The pad can be either 12mm plywood or solid timber. It is fitted on the inside face of the outer hull skin, 120mm below the gunwale
Then use a long stainless steel strip chainplate screwed or bolted on the outside and wrap it round the bow so you can attach the bridle to it
