I have been sailing for over 60 years and been designing catamarans for over 45. Furthermore, I am one of the very few designers who has sailed extensively on other people's designs. For example, only one of my five Atlantic crossings was on a catamaran I had designed.

The following is a list of some of the multihull designers whose boats I have sailed, often quite extensively:

As a successful designer and as one of the most experienced multihull sailors in the world, I feel the time is right to offer an email and phone consultation service.

Many people would like help in choosing the right boat for their needs, while others who already have a catamaran want advice on suitable equipment or how to make their boat perform better. In either case it may well be that the boat in question is not a Woods Design. Don't let that stop you; this consultation service is open to all!

Obviously by its very nature every consultation is different. However, as a guide I charge £50 an hour (US $70approx).
