Building a hard chine Sango

In June 2011 I received this email from a UK Sango builder

Hi Richard, All downloads have been trouble free - many thanks. To help me get a real feel for the coming build I decided to make a 1:5 scale model.

I used a CNC laser cutter to profile the bulkheads, set them up on a simple strongback and added chines & stingers in the normal way.

After about 8 hours I have a hull framework assembled and faired and all the hull main panels cut from 1.5mm birch ply. It seems from what I've done so far that she will be quick and straightforward to build and have attractive lines.

The other thing that is clear is the minimal waste that will be produced - one of the photos I attach shows the two main hull panels laid together on the floor. The piece of pine across them is (scaled) 4 feet long.

A few weeks later I got these additional photos
