Rhea Building 1

These photos show a round bilge foam sandwich Rhea.
Airex foam is used on the bottom below the knuckle as it can be bent cold to form the shape. It is then glassed inside and out.

Foam bottom completed, ready for glassing.
Note temporary frames to give the basic shape and,
later, to support the flat panel top sides

Now the hull is the right way up and bulkheads are being fitted.
The Rhea and our other bridgedeck designs are built one hull at a time
to simplify turning over and save on shed space.

Transom detail, with temporary frame still in place as the hull is wobbly
and can twist until all the bulkheads are fitted
