Building

hull upside down

This photo shows a deep V flat panel grp hull upside down. The keel joint has been glassed, but the joint still has to be faired and painted. After turning over the gunwale joint also has to be glassed. The rest of the hull is a smooth surface and so is ready to paint without any preparation.

builder and wing

The wing on the inner hull side is clearly visible, also the size of the boat is obvious as the builder is standing next to the boat

2 upside down hulls

Both hulls are now ready for finishing and painting. I recommend that you paint as much as possible before turning over as its much easier working down!

hull on trailer

The finished hull is narrow enough to be road legal. But maybe the police wouldn't take kindly to the packing crates!
