Scorpio and Javelin - Offshore Cruisers

Javelin moored

The Scorpio and Javelin use the same basic hulls as each other and as the Sagitta. LAR keels are fitted to the Scorpio and daggerboards are fitted to Javelin.

Javelin under sail

The open bridgedeck and makes Scorpio ideal for trade wind sailing. Scorpio is very dry and comfortable, with three double cabins and standing headroom together with lots of load carrying potential, see drawing below. Diesel engines and wheel steering are options

Scorpio interior drawing

Javelin has kick up rudders (as Sagitta) and uses an outboard engine (9.9hp 4 stroke Yamaha is recommended)

Here is a short Youtube clip of a Javelin sailing one winter's day off NE England, taken from the Multihull Sailors Have More Fun! video, see the Video page for more details.
