The 29ft SATURN is our newest design. In concept it is an updated Surfsong, or a fast Gypsy. It is suitable for those who want to coastal cruise or occasionally race. It is not intended for ocean sailing as it has limited load carrying.

To speed construction the hulls are chined flat panel and the decks are all single curvature. Construction is plywood on frames, epoxy glass sheathed.

Saturn can be built in sections for final completion by the water. Alternatively it can be built as a demountable boat. It is a transportable, rather than a trailable design, so can be taken home for winter storage.

The photos above show the first hull completed and out of the workshop and below is the beginning of the central cuddy

Early days during final assembly below (hulls have yet to be fitted at correct spacing)

Only electronic plans are available (as pdf files). The first two Saturns are currently being built in British Columbia and the third is in Australia. Photos and more details will be posted when available. Please email us for more details. Plans cost GBP600
